2013 is well underway and we are working on a busy agenda for this year. We have a series of research reports, webinars and conferences planned which will help enterprises understand what they should be doing this year to face the changing world of IT where everything is offered as service which can be consumed by the end users anywhere from any device. We are going to see even more convergence of seemingly disparate ideas of cloud, social, mobile and big data. Though many will disagree with me, I personally feel that the attention is going to change from focussing on user interface to building robust services with higher levels of reliability where user interface and experience is going to be secondary. We will talk in detail about this and other topics in the coming weeks and month.
We have also kickstarted the process of running DeployCon 2013, the conference organized by Rishidot Research last year with a focus on PaaS. We are going to slightly change the focus this year and talk about platforms for next gen services with interoperability being the key theme. We will soon be announcing a new analyst in our team who will exclusively focus on the lingua franca for interoperability, i.e.. APIs.
Over all this year is turning out to be exciting and you will see more activity in the blogs and publication of briefing notes, position papers and research reports. We have our hands full and we will be talking to you more in the coming weeks and months. This is just a quick introduction to what is in store this year.
