Briefing Notes: Midokura

Krishnan Subramanian · October 19, 2012 · Leave a Comment

This is a briefing note prepared by our analyst Lori Macvittie on Midokura, company offering network virtualization for public and private clouds.

Overview:

MidoNet is a Software-Defined Networking solution attempting to address the limitations of competing controller-based models through a shared state, fully meshed virtual overlay network architecture.

MidoNet is designed to overlay existing L2/L3 networks and provides a highly dynamic and flexible virtual network defined solely through roles and policies. The resulting architecture expands seamlessly to inter-domain network architectures, enabling federated hybrid cloud implementations.

You can view the report at Slideshare for free but you have to fill out a form with your information (your privacy if completely protected by us) to download the note for free.
